Some of our funding comes from rents.  On the first floor of our building, we house the Inman Liberty Day Program and Different Strokes, a privately owned art class business.  In addition to these businesses, we also rent space on a regular basis to the Mohawk Valley Chorus and T.O.P.S., Inc.

Our facility on the second floor is available for rent to private parties and businesses.  Our great hall is in beautiful condition since our recent makeover, and our rental fees are reasonable.  We also have a small conference room available for small meetings.

In addition to rental fees and leases, our funding comes from program fees, dues and sponsorships. As a 501c3 organization, your contribution is tax deductible.  You may sponsor a specific program, activity or event, or contribute to our building fund, which is used to help with major repair projects.  We are currently trying to raise money to repair a retaining wall system behind our building that is fast deteriorating.

We have several organizations, agencies and businesses that contribute to the Inman Senior Center.  These grants and contributions help us to continue offering the wide variety of programs and services to our senior citizens.  Some of these include:

United Way of Montgomery County

Thanks to the continued support of the Montgomery County United Way, we are able to continue to provide much needed services to our seniors.

CTW Fund

This organization provides funds for programs and program expenses throughout the year.  With their help, we have been able to offer free income tax preparation, computer lessons, Pickleball, and Wii programs.  Their funds also help with line dance and other programs.

Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home

A long term friend of the seniors of Montgomery County and of Amsterdam, this business has supported special events, our newsletter, helped coordinate fundraising activities and so much more.  In addition, several members of this organization have served and continue to serve as members of our Board of Directors.

Capital District Physicians Health Plan

CDPHP has helped with funds for special events such as our Polka Dances, Holiday Dinners, Pickleball, Sock Hop, Volunteer Recognition and more.

Fidelis Health

helps support our bi-monthly newsletter, and in the past has provided turkeys for our Holiday Dinner.

City and Town of Amsterdam

We contract with the City and the Town of Amsterdam for funds to provide services to the seniors

Montgomery County Office for the Aging

Thanks to their Nutrition Program, we are able to provide congregate meals one day a week, and get help with funding for our free exercise program. This agency also provides free nutrition information to participants.

Silver Sneakers Fitness Program

This program, sponsored by Healthways, provides funding for our Muscular Strenghth and Range of Motion Class, Our Yoga Stretch and our Cardio Circuit class.
